Hallo everyone,
I tried find answer by Search or in FAQ, but it failed.

So the problom is, when I am sending long hyperlink (typically URL) by Pegasus e-mail client.

Something like this:

-o-bli zkem-vychode"

when reciever of the mail see only first part like a link, the rest (wrapped piece) is not linked, so, when reciever clicks on it, an error occure, because only part of the line/link is copied in the browser.

How to send long hyperlinks (URLs) correctly? Why PM is wrapping the line without the link?

Thanks for tips or solution.

Harry

PS: Last version (4.73.639), Windows 7 SP1.

A space in the url will break it.

You can use the Pegasus Mail built-in "insert a hyperlink" function to create a hyperlink in your message instead of, or in addition to, providing the url.

If copying/pasting the url you can prevent Pegasus Mail from wrapping it by using the right-click > paste special > text only,...,not wordwrapped option.  The url may not be clickable in the destination email client but it should arrive intact.

Email client wordwrapping can break long url's.  Pegasus Mail does this.  Disabling word wrapping solves the problem provided the url wasn't wrapped when sent.

Thanks for reply, but:

- there was no space in URL
- insert hyperlink make hyperlink, but it is invisible in a text (maybe must be something switched on/off in Options also, but I dont know what),
- pasting like not wordwrapped text not working too, the text is wrapped.
Where to setup not wrapping text?
I know only about settings in "Special" tab and "Editor settings for this mesage", where is Message width. But it is only for one e-mail.
Not wrapping text is not nice. I dont know that other clients make this mistake with long URL.

Found that placing '<, >' at start end of the URL links works most times.

i.e. <https://www.amazon.ca/Mechanical-Pencil-Retractable-0-5mm-BICMPAFGMP21/dp/B006K0PV1W/ref=sr_1_2>

Of course as soon as I typed this there will be an exception.

Use the insert hyperlink tool because line wrapping breaks hyperlinks.  Not all mailers have an insert hyperlink tool and not all users know about it if they do. So often to use a hyperlink I have been sent I have to copy the hyperlink text and paste it into my browser rather than clicking the incomplete bit of the link which looks like a link.

Additionally, be aware that unlike the remainder of the formatting controls in the Pegasus Mail message window, you do not paste the hyperlink, select it, then choose the option to create a hyperlink. To create a hyperlink click the 'Insert a hyperlink' icon in the message window, then choose the appropriate options - text or image in the top field and paste the URL in the bottom field and click OK. The URL will remain intact even when wrapped (assuming it is viewed as HTML).
