I double and tripe checked pop3, password and so on and can't find a soulution. Installing Pegasus 4.8 didn't change anything.

Any suggetions?

If you use an app password and not Google's "allow less secure apps" function then post back stating such, otherwise read on.

It is likely that Google has turned off the "allow less secure apps" function in your account. They do that randomly to me and I have to re-enable it. When it is disabled, login failure occurs as you describe.

If you are following posts in this forum you know that the "allow less secure apps" feature will be turned off effective May 30. After that, using an app password will be the only option unless we see a new release of Pegasus Mail that supports OAuth2.

AOL mail and Yahoo mail have been using app-specific passwords for some time but for the life of me I cannot locate a screen on the Google end of things that will allow me to create one.

Creating an app password in Google is dependent on 2-Step Verification being enabled. Once you turn it on you will see the option for creating an app password.
