Desktop Outlook & Mercury iMap prob

I have a number of clients using Outlook connected via iMAp to our Mercury server. It works quite well, but one bug is frustrating some users & that is they cannot set a flag or any other notation against an individual email. A flag, let's say for 'follow up' looks like it has been applied but disappears on next login. If i try the same on Roundcube we get a failure with 'an error occurred could not mark the messages'. I'm thinking it may be a problem with permissions on the mailboxes, but nothing stands out.
Anyone had a similar problem - ideas welcome!

Hello,
as I didn't have any use for such setting, I tried it just yet in roundcube, as I use this for all my webmail, and same error, "cold not mark the messages". Set to "read" and "unread" is no problem.

But I have no ideas. Maybe there is no other options in Mercury IMAP as just read & unread?

one more follow-up. Activated session logs for IMAP and, if I read it correctly, shows that there are only 4 flags to be set , (\Deleted \Draft \Seen \Answered)

I guess there is your answer, not what you would like. The additional option you, or maybe even others, are looking for would be a "nice to have" feature. But.......

Thanks Johannes....I just found that in my own session logs...so no available flag for 'flags' yet.
I wonder if there's a way in through the backend where that function could be added.
Maybe the next iteration of Mercury will have it?!
Thanks again for replying
