Spam folder/hater

It has been some time but recently I had computer problems and had to do a re-install. Everything came back okay including Pegasus Mail but I do have a question on the spam halter to make sure I have it working properly

Been receiving a lot of spam lately an I'm just wondering as I forgot. What I've been doing is to right clicking on the message and click on where it says to train messages as spam and just delete. Is that correct or should I have set up a junk/spam folder and place those items in there? I simply forgot what I had done before and need some step by step guidance to make sure I'm doing correctly. Thank you folks in advance and appreciate your help as in the past

I did not have much luck training with the right-click method, or the traffic signal > reclassify method. Drag-n-drop to or from the spam folder has worked. Important is that you have a designated spam folder and that it is specified as Spamhalter spam folder in the Spamhalter configuration. Pegasus Mail installs a default one named "Junk and suspicious mail" but you can create and use one of your own. If you want the default, but don't see it in your folder list, you can restore it by copying the junk.pmm and junk.pmi files from \Programs\DEFAULTS and pasting into your mailbox directory. Do this with Pegasus Mail closed.

Finally, there is a Spamhalter starter database here:
http://www.vandenbogaerde.net/files/words4.zip

It contains a words4.db3 file that you can extract into your mail directory replacing the one is there unless you consider the existing one of value.
