Is Bearhtml still of value?

Probable Mr. Harris is only one that would know for sure?

Know that IERender is primary for most users.
Does IERender use anything of Bearhtml or does it completely replace it?

The Bearhtml seems to have been left for some time.

The native editor files had a big upgrade some years ago. In my setup have these files (Note: TXML2.DLL is no native, but was called by TER32.DLL, so I found it and put in directory. Don't know if it actual does anything other than resolve the not found call)
766464 Nov 9 2021 HTS32.DLL
2951680 Mar 24 2022 TER32.DLL
94208 Mar 22 2022 TXML2.DLL

Since these are newer wouldl they make bearhtml unnecessary.
Under Linux the IERenderer is not an option, and at least for me I've found better results with the TER32 and HTS32 options. But many html messages don't display well, but opening in browser works fine.

Know work on version 5 is ongoing and IERenderer author is looking at upgrading since support DLLs of it are going out of support by MicroSoft. So might be moving to a chromium link that might work with wine and linux?

Don't know if version 5 is going to an upgraded TER32 or if it is going to use a different default viewer? Also, don't recall if it is going to move to a 64bit build from the 32 bit current. Upgrade a project a couple years ago, when they stopped offerent a 32bit build of Fedora, and was a lot of work.

Just wonder, perhaps those with Beta team might have info, or if in next monthly update.
