Pretty straightforward setup.
Default setup in C:\PMAIL.
Mail in C:\PMAIL\MAIL\ADMIN
Windows 2000 pro SP4 since a couple of years.
Only thing I think of is that I've toyed with a few anti-virus programs lately.
I have a few installed, and was running one at a time for some days. (I was correctly changing the services bootup paramaters and the programs in the registry RUN key)
Used AVG 7.5+FW, NOD32+Comodo and Avira Antivir+Comodo.
None of these programs ever complained about some Pmail's files or folders.
Best,

The anti-virus software can in fact cause the folder corruption. If the anti-virus software and WinPMail are both trying to access the same file it can cause the index and folder to get out of sync at best and at worst lose the entire folder. This does not happen with all anti-virus software and not all the time but when you have the anti-virus software looking at the WinPMail mail directories it not a good thing. If you want to check the incoming mail for a virus use VirScan and you'll save yourself a lot of grief.
