Pmail32 issues with "New Mail" refresh

[quote user="Thomas R. Stephenson"][quote user="James Torpey"]

I orginally posted this in the mercury forum, so I appologise for the double post.

I am a consultant and have been supporting a company that uses mercury32 and pmail32 with NDS support for years.  I have just recently come across a weird issue where the New Mail folder doesnt refresh until the user changes folders then returns back to New Mail or closes and restarts Pmail32.  I've checked the users pmail config, checking refresh times, etc.  I am not using IMAP, and I have other users in the office running fine.  Not sure what changed.

How many message are in the new mail foldfer?  If there are too many (700?) then the auto-refresh is shut down.

I currently only have 22 in mine, and have the exact same problem. It also seems to apply to any folder, not just the New Mail folder, ie. I have to go to another folder and return to see the updated list.

I have a question to add to this discussion: is there a Refresh view shortcut key, eg. some apps use F5, does PMail have anything similar?

We have not had trouble with the refresh, but we are having issues loading mailboxes with attachments over our WAN.

Is there some way to configure Pegasus so that it only loads attachments when they are requested by the user?

I wanted to confirm this...right around 700 messages my 'automatic refresh' didn't fire anymore.  Closing new mail and reopening though showed new mail.

I have since decided to send all mail to the Main Folder (which I renamed !!Main Folder!! to get it up at the top of the list).  Remember to go into Basic Settings and select the renamed folder or your mail will not leave the New Mail Folder.
