Mail Merge containing attachments and jpeg photos

I thought that a mail merge could not contain attachments.  How is this done?  I'd like to put some photos in a mail merge format file.  Is this possible?  How?

I found it - It's a tab right on the new message window.  This post can be deleted.

Hi!

I would like to send an e-mail to a group of people and use the name in the adressbook to creacte an personal opening for each person recieving the mail. John would recieve a mail that says "Hi John", and Kathy would  recieve "Hi Kathy". Is this possible, and is so, how can I achieve this?

Greetings,

 Shavur

This is explained in the "Mail Merge - creating personalized messages" section of the Help screens.  Look for this topic under "Sending mail messages" in the main Help index.  You can even specify different attachments for each recipient.

Extract the addressbook using the tabbed delimited format and then use it as a source file for the mail merge.  You can import the tabbed delimited file into Excel or Open Office to edit this file to modify it if you wish.

Hi Tom I am using Mercury 32 V4.5 and tried looking in help for the "Mail Merge", "Creating Personalised Messages" and "Sending Mail meaasages" and neither are displayed or available anywhere in the help or content.

Surely it must work quite simple like saying Hi (Name), or Hi [Full Name] or Hi %7.

Can I download the new pathes without messing up my settings and existing mail users?

Please help!

Thanks

Mercury/32 has nothing on mail merge, it's done at the mail client level in Pegasus Mail v4.41.  When you send a message there is a "Merge" tab that contains all of the tools you need to create a mail merge.  I like using Excel (or the free Open Office) to manage the tab-delimited data file.
