The updated BearHTML solved the crash problem, but neither this nor the switch to native english solved the document left margin switching.

However, I found the solution : I had to increase the message width setting in the Preferences from its default 145 mm to a wider setting.

I raised it to 200.

It could have been lower than that, but 200 seemed fine.

Hi.

This is the second time I get an HTML email and, when I reply, preserving the HTML formatting, the text is shifted to the left in the editor.

However, if I don't care about that and look at the reply in the Copyself folder, everything's fine.

 I'm attaching pictures of the displayed email, displayed reply, and also the exported email with a cnm extension.

Furthermore, if I open the email, close it, open the reply window, cancel it and reopen the email, PM crashes everytime. (4.41)

I saved the message and it does not do any of these things on my system.  You're using the French version and I am not, but I doubt if this could be causing the problem.  What version of BearHTML are you using?  The current version of BearHTML can be obtained via email to Martin Ireland:

First you should update your BearHTML version, if this give no change, try to deactivate the French version (put a semicolon at the begining of the line "Set Language=FR" in the pegasus.ini located in the same directory than winpm-32.exe).

Tell us the continuation of the story
