Error activating SSL session

Did you ever figure this one out?

I am having the same issue with IMAP to GMail...

It works totally fine under windows XP, but when I try it under linux (using WINE), I get this error. I have tried all the same things you tried with no luck)

I have been using Pegasus for years without problems, until now. I cannot get Pegasus to send messages through my university server. It downloads emails (POP3) without problem but sends only perhaps one in two dozens, without any pattern (as to size, attachements etc). Most of the time Pegasus doesn't connect to the server at all and the log says:

Error -25 activating SSL session (locus 6014, type 4, code 0, 'Timeout on read (select()) after 30 seconds')
18:26:34.718 --- Connection closed normally at Fri, 28 Mar 2008 18:26:34.

I have tried all authentication options;  I have set all timeouts to 240 seconds - without result. The ports and SSL option are set according to ISP's instructions so this cannot be the problem.

I will appreciate any help,
Piotr

Try using the "-z 1024" commandline option to see if that fixes the problem.  e.g.

c:\winpmail\winpm-32.exe  -z 1024

It doesn't, unfortunately. But thanks anyway.

Just in case, have you already tried enabling the "Disable certificate validation" option within the Security tab for this SMTP configuration within Pegasus Mail's Internet Configuration dialog window?
