Lost all my accounts
Hello,

i post here my question but my problem is not exactly the same.

after a major PC crash, i've restored the old pmail directory, but

my pmail account password don't work. (not my login/password email account)

I remember my password. There is a way to retrieve my email ?

thanks,

Eric

PS: i hope you've understand my bad english!
Pegasus Mail does not use passwords. You probably need to enter your username. Those names are listed in a file called pmail.usr.  You can open that file with notepad or such. Most likely when you enter admin it will work.

Something odd happened just now. Started Pmail as usual, but it said it had detected an upgrade to 4.4 (it was 4.4 before) and now I have lost all the various email accounts and identies I had set up. There were hundreds.

Will Pmail have saved them somewhere as a backup when it did the "upgrade". Where would it be ? Am I going to have to restore the disk from a backup.

Please don't send an email to me - I can't receive anything at the moment.

The first time you run after an upgrade it search the pmail.ini file to determine the last run version of the program.   Looks like it found an only pmail.ini file in the new mail folder. Did you restore from a backup?  Run an older version against the same accout?
