you are right, I found my first e-mail still sitting in the "queued-mail" - list, which can be reached under file/review queued mail ....

I don't have any folder for outgoing mail - should there be any?

I just got a problem with sending an e-mail with an attachment. the attachment's file name (pdf-file) had some spaces and was about 20 to 30 letters long. I started the email-message by right clicking on the file to be attached and chose send to / pegasus from the menue.

I then wrote the text of my e-mail and pressed the send-button. the next thing that happened was an error-window popping up saying this (the pdf-file's name started with "passau"):

"The file 'Passau' which has been attached to a message in your outgoing mail queue, cannot be located. Please edit and re-attach the file, or remove it prior to sending.
The message has not been processed."

I checked the attachment-tab and realized that the file's name was indeed truncated to "passau.pdf". I don't know why this happened but I decided to "remove" the bad entry and again drag 'n drop the pdf-file from an explorer window to the attachements area. It worked and showed perfectly the whole name.

I then clicked the send button again. and AGAIN I got the same error message!!!

I started the whole procedure another time - and got again the same error message.

I quitted pm in hope that a restart would reinitialize the program to make it work again but with no success. I still keptr receiving the error message.

I then RENAMED the pdf-file to some other name and kept it short, gues what!?  ! got the SAME error message again ("the file "passau" !!!!!! .......")

I then wrote an e-mail with no attachement at all - guess what? yes, you are right ......

what is making trouble here? anybody?

btw: according to the sent-folder pegasus actually DID send ALL the emails together with the attachment I thought they did not work because the error message said "... the msessage has not been processed". and I have just checked this out. the e-mails actually have been sent. I sent an email to myself together with an attachment - got the same error message - but collecting emails produced the test-email in my inbox.

First off, it sounds as if the original email message, which produced all of these errors, is still sitting in your Queued Outgoing Mail folder (aka Outbox).  If you delete it, you'll probably see that the errors stop appearing.  Only your intial action caused this problem.  The rest of the emails all went through fine, with the attachment.

The problem is that the "Send To Pegasus Mail" right-click option is not configured properly to enclose the filename and path within quotes.  You can fix this by modifying the properties of the "Pegasus Mail" entry within the Send To folder of your local user profile and add a %1 with quotes around it.  e.g.

C:\WINPMAIL\wsendto.exe  "%1"

Alternatively, just use drag and drop or use the Add Attachment button in Pegasus Mail to add attachments to email messages.
