how to get rid of header additions e.g. [english 93%] RESOLVED

I think I found it: this comes from a web filter used by the G-DATA security program. I found a language filter, disabled it, and the header additions are gone.

What a relief.

I am using pegasus mail for more than 12 years, without any problem. The current version is 441. Since recent reset of Windows XP I am experiencing a problem of which I cannot find the cause.

Any message not written in Dutch, my country language, appears with a modified subject header. It apparently indicates the language of the message as inferred from the content.

An example is: [english 93%] Next week's meeting instead of just Next week's meeting.

When I apply selective mail download this does not happen, but as soon as I retrieve the messages from the mail server the language part, e.g. [english 93%] is added.

This problem only happens at the PC on which I had to relaod Windows XP after a systems failure. Using the same version of pegasus mail on 2 other computers does not produce this problem.

Who can explain where this comes from and how I can stop this?

Robert

[english 93%]

This is not coming  from Pegasus Mail unless you have created a filter somehow to add it.  I suspect that you have something running between Pegasus Mail and the mail server that is adding this string.

What could be producing these strings? Could this be a setting of the pop-server?

It is really annoying and makes reading message headers practically impossible.

Has anyone seen this before?

[English 78%] Next meeting

[English 84%] Traffic management

[English 92%] Your paper

[English 96%] Sales figures

Could be most anywhere.  The POP3 server could do this before the mail is downloaded, you could be doing this with a application between the POP3 server and WinPMail.  The POP3 session log might give you a bit of information.
