Access to mailing lists

Thanks, it looks pretty simple when viewed like this. Unfortunately my head is averse to logic [:P] and trying to concoct this stuff leaves me in a gibbering heap.

What does the E stand for in FRE? Should it be FRS?

Edit 2:

It's OK, just discovered what it is.

Thanks again for the help *thumbs-up*

Hi folks

After setting up mailing lists on Mercury I configured access to each list differently. For example, only moderators can send mail, or subscribers/moderators, or everyone can submit mail to a list.

One of the list addresses with 'anyone' access was forwarded outside the organisation and has been added to another mailing list. Obviously, I do not want this to happen, so I have reset the permissions to subscribers/moderators. However, this means that staff who are not members of the list may not submit mail to it.

As these lists are primarily intended for internal use only, I would like to know if it is possible to prevent non-local users from accessing some of them.

Thanks

Global filter rule to bin/respond to external users sending mail to the list address?

Thanks for the reply. This is a dreaded area for me as a lot of this is gobbledegook and it makes my brain liquify and dribble out of my ears [:'(]

If header "CT" contains "listaddress" Delete ""

You could replace the 'Delete' with 'Reply with Template' if you want to notify offenders.
