Many thanks.

Hi

I have noticed a strange thing. All mails which are arriving have a time-stamp 1 hour earlier than they were sent.

I have looked at the settings in the Mercury Core module and the box marked 'Auto' is ticked. The server on which Mercury is installed has the correct time-zone applied which is GMT-London, and the box marked Automatically adjust clock for daylight saving changes is also checked. Daylight saving for British Summertime adds an hour to GMT

I have tried removing the tick in Auto, and have typed in 1 and also tried +1 in this field, but incoming mail timestamps do not change.

If Auto is ticked then mail messages sent will have a different time-stamp depending on their destination: mails arriving at gmail show the actual time sent from my account, mail sent to btinternet.com (a UK ISP), show that my mail message was sent an hour earlier than it actually was. Replies to both these mails back to my Pegasus Mail account show the timestamp as being an hour earlier than they were sent.

I'm a little confused about this. Are there additional time settings that need configuring? As usual, any help will be gratefully received.

Thanks

I guess i need a bit more information.  What time stamp are you talking about.  The Date: line?  the time in the log?  the time in the Received: headers?

Sorry.

The times that are displayed in Pegasus Mail's folder view.

The Mercury Core module has the correct time as it is the same as the server.

I had not thought to check the mail headers [:$] - the headers show the correct time in Raw View, and the correct time is shown in the header summary. When the mail is opened the header summary shows 'date' 'time' +0100.

Is there a way to adjust the settings so that the correct time is displayed in Pegasus Mail's folder view.

Click on the "Folder" top level menu and and select "Apply timezone correction".  From the nHelp:

Apply timezone compensation  Normally, Pegasus Mail will attempt to work out the time difference between messages in your folder and will allow for that difference when sorting by date. This allows messages from (for example) New Zealand and England to sort correctly in chronological order, even though there is a 12 hour time difference between the two places. Whether or not this correction can be applied is dependent on the messages containing legal time zone specifications - unfortunately, many do not. If you would prefer that Pegasus Mail display and sort by the raw date of the message, make sure that this option is not checked.
