Subscribed mail folders for IMAP users disappearing

Did anyone find a solution to this problem?

I recently installed all new computers in a small office (5 machines). All new (pre-loaded) software on each. I moved the Mercury

Mail over to the new server computer and it seems to be working fine but I have several machines that will not display the

subscribed folders consistently. I have seen this in the past and have not found a good solution. What is going on or where do I look?

We are using Outlook 2007 but I have also seen this issue on Outlook Express and Thunderbird. I am running Mercury Mail v4.62.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello,

Over the past few days several of our IMAP users have been losing their IMAP folder subscriptions (including myself). Some of the users are using Outloook w/ IMAP and I'm using Thunderbird. The only symptom is that the subscribed folders disappear from the folder list but we are able to re-subscribe to them without difficulty. However, even after re-subscribing, the folders have disappeared again the same day for at least one user.

Are these subscription settings stored in the local client or in a config file of some sort on the server?

Any suggestions why this has suddenly started happening after a few years of stable use?

We're using Mercury/32 v4.01b

Thanks!

I have never had this problem, but Mercury has had two changes to its IMAP system since the version you are using, so my first suggestion would be to upgrade.

Hello,

I have this exact same problem:(

I'm using Mercury/32 v4.62 and Thunderbird v2.0.0.17.

When I subscribe to the folders they appear and I can access the email within them.  But the next time I return to the subcribe list the folders have become unticked?  The folders stay in the main view until I close Thunderbird, the next time I load Thunderbird they've disappeared and I have to re-subscribe.

I hope that makes sense.

Help!

Thanks.

The "subscription" information is stored on the client side. To see what is going on you have to enable session logging in MercuryI.
