Migrating old Pegasus email ...

From memory, from the last time I had to do something like this, here's what I would try:

1. Start Pegasus Mail
2. for each existing folder of mail
a. create a new folder in "Unix Mailbox format" with a similar name (e.g. "Geophysics Stuff - MBX" for "Geophysics Stuff")
b. copy (or move) all the messages from the original folder into the MBX folder
3. using Windows Explorer or some similar utility (I use Total Commander), copy the resulting UNX*.MBX folders to somewhere that your Eudora system can find them.

You may need to rename the UNXnnnnn.MBX files to something else to give them Eudora-recognizable names -- ISTR that Thunderbird uses the actual file name to name the folder, and Eudora, which is now based (I think) on the Thunderbird code-base, may do the same..  The name you gave each folder in Pegasus Mail (e.g. "Geophysics Stuff - MBX") is stored in the first line of the matching UNXnnnnn.PMG file, which can be read using any ASCII display program like "lister.exe" from the author of Total Commander (get it at www.ghisler.com) or "list.com" or any other similar ASCII viewer.

Peg2Eud notes are here:

and the software is available here:

Free software from A.N.D. Technologies - Econv: Eudora <-> Pegasus Email Conversion

Hope this helps and one of these works for you.

I last used Pegasus in 2000 (v 2.55), and would like to migrate my Pegasus emails to my current email system, Eudora so that I can retire an old computer.  Any suggestions?

Use an IMAP server / account (gmail/fastmail).

There can be small corruptions due to other clients not paying attention to proper formatting standards (MS Outlook Express anyone?)

There is also an Pegasus to Eudora application (search the forum) that works.
