I've recently moved my New mailbox in a Standalone v4.41 setup from the same
directory as the Home mailbox to a new (empty) directory on another drive. I
also moved PMAIL.INI to the new directory and edited it so that the "New
mailbox location" was set to the appropriate directory. I then ran pconfig to
update the new mailbox directory setting.
When I ran Pmail after this, Help/About/Info showed the mailboxes correctly
and any new mail received worked properly, was put in the new directory and
remained there after closing and reopening Pmail.
The problem relates to messages moved or copied from a normal folder to the
newmail "folder". While Pmail remains open after the copy/move, the message
appears in the newmail "folder" and can be read in the normal manner but if I
close Pmail and reopen it the message is lost.
The file manager showed that the copy/move function had created a new .CNM
file, in the new directory, when Pmail was open but after closing Pmail it had
been deleted.
Is this a problem of my setup or does it apply to any setup where the Home and
New mailboxes differ?
