In Pegasus If I check host for new mail I get this

Network ore Protocal error

[*] Connection established to 127.0.0.1
>> 0059 +OK <38069109.2003@african_masks.com>, POP3 server ready.
<< 0015 USER lieven23
>> 0029 +OK lieven23 is known here.
<< 0015 PASS XXXXXXXX
>> 0052 -ERR Username or password is invalid or incorrect.

I'm pretty sure the pasword is ok

so what could be wrong?

Go to File | Network configuration | General and turn on "Create Internet session logs (advanced diagnostic use only)"

Checking this control tells Pegasus Mail to create special log files that show the entire exchange of information between it and the servers it connects to. Each session will be created in a file called TCPxxxx.WPM in your home mailbox directory (the "xxxx" is replaced by four digits). Creating session logs will slow down the performance of your system somewhat, and you should be aware that any username and password information exchanged between Pegasus Mail and the server will be shown in the log, *even* if you use SSL to secure the connection. Session logs are primarily useful if you need to debug a problem between Pegasus Mail and one of the servers it connects to - you should enable the option only on instructions from a system administrator or from Pegasus Mail technical support. [ Technical note: this control has the same effect as using a "-Z 32" commandline switch when you run Pegasus Mail ]

You can now try again to send/receive the mail and then look at the resulting TCP/IP debug file.  Review of this file will tell you exactly what is going on between WinPMail and the server.

I went to File | Network configuration | General and looked for "Create Internet session logs" ,but it appears nowhere.

There is something wrong with the user interface of the network configuration screen.

Just at about the start setup wiz..., the screen abrubt ends at the Z of wizard , so I can't see a part of my screen. This is strange

Why this button doesn't show up on my general tab screen?

All my tabs are cut of in this way.

Huh?  What version of Pegasus Mail are you using?   What do you see in http://tstephenson.com/pegasus/general.jpg that is in the red rectangle?

I use WinPMail version: Version 4.41 (Win32), Jul 16 2006

Around "Easy step by step internet mail setup" in General there is a thin gray line that stops about 0,5 cm under the "start setup wizard" button. The interface is cut so that I don't see the thin gray line at the bottom.

On my Pegasus the interface is cut so that I don't see the Create Internet session logs not even the red line that I see you have.

This is a temporarily link of the screenshot

I doubt it but it might be your state.pmj is messed up.

Try  the following procedure.  This has worked for several others to restore
the functionality of the display:

1.  Use Help | About Pegasus Mail | Info to determine your mail
    directory.  Exit Pegasus mail.

2.  Rename the file state.pmj in your HOME mail directory to
    state.sav.

3.  Run WinPMail.  Your state.pmj will be re-created and should
    have the display working correctly.

. It recreated the STATE.SAV fileI  but with no result.

Huh?  I hope it re-created the file state.pmj.  In any case do you happen to be using "Large fonts" in your windows setup?  What happens when you use the standard fonts?  FWIW, I'm using a resolution of 1280x1024 and it works just fine for me.
