Pegasus Mail Suggestions
Spam message

Again, this is a valid point - assuming that pmail wants to help new, non-expert users.

Personally I think that pmail's power-user reputation is important and well-earned. However, there is a case for easing usability to allow the user base to expand. This is why I believe some kind of special mode should be considered that hides many options and wraps a more simple presentation layer around the program.

Believe it or not, I had never activated the spam buster function in Pmail.

Well, today I had the opportunity to click on the top-right button to classify a message as spam. Ouch! The message that appears in that case will look extra-terrestrial to most users. It may be interesting for those who are in some sort of university course for probability filters maths.

And after that, Ouch again! When you have clicked on Close, the message is NOT labeled as spam. You had to click on "Reclassify". If you understood the meaning of that button. If you went as far low after having attempted to understand what was above.

So, I tell you what, users will expect a spam button like in Thunderbird. You click on it, it's spam, you re-click, it's not spam. But never never never you are proposed to see some binary stuff, that not only puzzles you, but also delays your action.

And furthermore, I don't wish this ugly button in the top right corner, I wish a nice clean one with the other buttons in the buttons bar.  It's an action, not an indication.
