By request of Sharkfin, a specific thread about the telephone message button. And here is what he says:
I think it would be horrible to remove that button. I think it's one of the greatest things about Pmail. I just wish I used Pegasus in an office environment so I could use the option.
Buttons in that icons bar justify their presence as shortcuts for frequent actions, right? Well I do use Pmail in an office environment, and I never use that button. Precisely, when I work, I am able to reply. When I'm in holiday or absent shopping, people call me on my mobile phone. Both my fixed phone and my mobile have their own automatic reply messages.
I don't mean the feature should be cancelled, just that it could remain somewhere else in the menu. The Check and New Mail buttons, on the contrary, I use them several times a day. The benefit of freeing space to include more Quick Open or Quick Action buttons seems to me important. Same for Font, by the way. I don't have a habit of changing the font regularly, once I have chosen one.
Also, the form it triggers gives the impression that Pmail is some sort of 56k modem real phone and fax manager. It is confusing.
