I am having problems configuring Mercury. I can't send or receive mail externally. I have read tons of walkthroughs and posts, but I still can't figure it out, so sorry if this is a repeat. Instead of trying to post tons of information, I will start out slow. First I want to get mercury E working. Everytime I try to send e-mail MercuryE says that it has resolved the MX for "domain" and it is connecting to an ip address, but connection always fails.
I am using mercury/32 v. 4.62
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My configurations are as follows:
--Mercury Core Module--
<--General Tab-->
Internet name for this system: Mydomain.net (i.e. I have a registered domain with a webserver running off of the same comp.)
Brodcast notifications for normal mail (if supported); send copies of all errors to the postmaster; and change file ownership to recipient (if supported): are the only checked options.
Everything else on this tab is default.
<--Mail Queue-->
Everything is default on this tab.
<--local domains-->
My Domain www.mydomain.net
My Domain 192.168.0.X
MyDomain ExternalP(XX.XX.XXX.XXX)
Localhost 127.0.0.1
* I'm almost positive that I don't have this tab configured properly.
<--Groups--><--Files--><--Reporting--><--Advanced--><--Policy-->
All of these tabs are default
--MercuryE End-toEnd Smtp client configuration--
Identify myself as: www.mydomain.net
Poll: 15 seconds
TCP/IP timeout: 60 seconds
Max. Delivery Threads: 10
Name Servers: ISP DNS (I have my ISP's DNS here in typical format XX.XX.XX.XXX)
DNS timeout: 20
Retries:4
Honour Requests for Transcript generation is checked.

Thanks for any help.
