Advice - Global Rule - Run Program

Thanks.

Anyone know of a quick daemon that will do this ?

Thanks. Anyone know of a quick daemon that will do this ?

Hi

I know it's possible to run a program from a global rule, but is it possible to send the subject of the email to the program that I want to be run ??

IE:

I email a message with the subject 'http://www.web.com/file.zip'

And a filter runs a program called get.exe, but as get.exe http://www.web.com/file.zip

Is that possible ??

Thanks

Any chance of IMAP Filtering :)

There is no variable substitution in rule handling. You could perhaps create a policy to do something like this, but in that case it would be up to the policy program to extract the subject header from the message file. A daemon can do it as well, of course, but might be a bit trickier to program.
