Print an informational footer at the bottom of each page

I generally don't print HTML messages - I generally hope I don't receive them; I wish people would stick to plain text as there is really nothing anyone can tell me in an email message that needs to have additional pointless formatting! If they want that, they can send me an attachment!

 Anyway - sorry for the rant, but....

Thanks at least for answering, but it's mainly plain text messages I'm interested in printing.

Hi

I'm sure I've seen comments on this before, but I can't find them. If someone can point me at them, then great, but otherwise....

I've downloaded the public beta 4.5 and I'm very pleased with the changes to the "Reply" button behaviour; I had been thinking of specifically asking for a separate "Reply To All" button but being able to press "A" and have that happen is excellent. It also seems to manage to identify my own email address and miss it out (which 4.41 didn't!).

However, one problem I've been having for a long time is that, when I select the "Print an informational footer at the bottom of each page" option on the print dialog it doesn't Print an informational footer at the bottom of each page! I haven't seen one of those for a very long time, certainly it wasn't there in 4.41, I think the last time I saw it was in 4.3 or 4.2 and it still isn't there in 4.5.

Does anyone know where I should look to try to sort this one out? Presumably it works for someone, so if I can track down what's different in my setup then perhaps I could solve it.

Thanks to David and everyone who has been involved in the program over the years, I'm still trying to encourage more people to use it but people are so lazy they just use M$ stuff!

If you are viewing an html message you can print the message via Bearhtml (key in Shift + Ctrl + P). You need two lines in your Bearhtml.ini:

printsetup=yes
prtflags=3

The Printsetup will give you the standard print setup dialog. The Prtflags will control whether you see headers, footers or both. See Bearhlp-en.htm for details
