Mercury Relaying message from other Domain?

Hi,

The message come from outside network.

I have now tick 3 checkboxes :

* Do not permit SMTP relaying of nonlocal email

* Use Strict Relaying instructions (see help)

* Authenticated SMTP connections may relay mail

 Hope this will work.

Thanks for the advise.

Hi,

I have mercury installed in my server as MTA for our domain. (let's called it domain A).

These few days, i found out that the mercury also sending email from other domain (B, C, D, E).

I have tried to put rules, which say if the send is not from domain A, then delete the message immediately.

But still i got a lot of email from other domain (B,C,D,E) which delivered using my Mercury server.

Any idea why is this happening?

Djo.

It sounds like you are an open relay - are these coming from outside or from your own network?

Go to the MercuryS configuration screen and on the 'Connection control' tab ensure the top 2 checkboxes are ticked in the 'Relaying control' section.

That should stop outside connections relaying through your server.
