Cut and paste quite often will trigger the "Rich text" when you do not use the paste special to ensure that you are pasting plain text only.

I recently sent a friend an E-mail message.

I was at his place today.

He showed me the message I sent him on his machine.

The paragraphs were long lines. (He has a 2nd screen, very wide)

All my line breaks were erased, with the exceptions of the 2-Line paragraph breaks

Can someone explain what's going on ?

He was using Outlook Express (I haven't dissociated with him, perhaps he might convert)

We would really need to see a copy of the message as received to determine exactly why this occurred.   Also were you sending plain text or HTML?
