Thanks but you are right that this is not in the SMTP command.

Hi All,

How do I block emails with "Casino" in the following header line?

From: "Dream Casino" <aevawuo@pafac.org>

Cheers, Gordon

global filter, headers containing *asino* - drop

global filter, headers containing *asino* - drop

Transaction filters work on the SMTP MAIL FROM: header which is not always the same as the From: header in the message body.

FWIW this will do what you asked (as long as "Casino" appears in the MAIL FROM: SMTP command)

M, "*[Cc]asino*", B, "554 MAIL FROM rejected"

As Peter has said, you may have more luck with Global filtering (or better yet, Spamhalter for an automated solution)

Thanks for that Peter.

If I add a line to the global filter:

1/ I assume this will match the term in any/all headers?

2/ I can't see a "drop" option

From memory its not possible to do what I want using transflt.mer - is that right?

Cheers, Gordon
