Order of Folders

I have a number of Folders in my Pegasus main window. I have now created a new Folder for 2009 which shows up below the old ones I have used. The fact that it shows up below the older folders make it very difficult to read new emails and then file them in various subfolders under the new Folder for 2009.

 I would like to either:

a) move the new folder to the top of all my folders

b) make Pegasus start with the new folder fully expanded with all the subfolders showing but with the older folders collapsed above the new folder

Anyway to make this work ? Now I have to when starting up Pegasus forst collapse the old Folders and then scroll down so the new one is fully visiable and then I can start to read new email and file them.

It would work for me of course if I detached the old folders but from now and then I need to go back and look into them so that is not a good idea....

Any suggestions ?!!

Try using a - before the name and the folder(s) will sort to the top.  You can use other characters as well to control the sorting.

Sorry - I have probably used the wrong words... My question relates to MAILBOXES with its FOLDERS and not as I phrased it FOLDERS with SUBFOLDERS.

I understand that the Folders sort in alphabetic order but if I use the RENAME functionon a MAILBOX nothing changes....

IIRC, the order of the added mailboxes is held in state.pmj under the [Mailbox_IDs] section.  You might try editing this to change their order in the list.  Work with a backup copy and when WinPMail is not running.
