copy and move to folder problem

Hi,

When I copy or move an email to one of my folders, it appears to go OK, but when I open that folder and open the email it shows:

This message contains binary or non-textual data that cannot be previewed within Pegasus Mail.

   Filename:   Unknown

You can work with this file in the message reader's 'Attachments' page.

and any attachment that was on the original is gone.

I have reindexed the folder and it removes all the newer messages I have put in it in the past few weeks...all of which were doing as described above. The ones that are older and still in the folder after reindexing are OK. Any new ones I move or copy to that folder are as described above and go away when reindexed again. Please help.
