I have been using Mercury in a Novell NetWare (Currently NW 6.5) since the early 1990's.  Finally, the last thing holding us to Netware is our Mercury Email system. Except for the fact that Netware is rock solid there are no other compelling reasons to stick with it except that using Mercury makes our email administrative effort virtually zero ;-)

Is there a way to have Mercury integrate with Active Directory the way it does with Novell eDirectory?  Please say YES!!!  I was going to purchase Novell's Identify Manager in order to keep the two directorys in sync, but if I can get Mercury to work with AD there would be no need.

Nope, there is no released AD tool for Mercury/32.  That said David has converted to window server for his primary server and the NW v6.5 is only a backup.  Now that he's using this as his primary he's been working a bit harder on the Windows integration.   I would hang in there a bit longer with the Netware system until you see the next major release.

If you are really desperate to get rid of the Netware system though there is a alpha version of  Mercury/32 dll (mn_win.dll) that will allow you to connect to the users directories of the windows system running AD.  This was developed by Frank Fesevur <omega@fesevur.com> and you might want to drop him a line.  I know he's using this in production as are a number of the Mercury/32 beta testers.  FWIW, this does NOT include PMail integration.

we just use Mercury on a Windows server without AD integration.  The admin effort involved is merely setting up user accounts.  But then we are quite small so all users can just have an address list in their mailbox.

Our problem is that we have nearly 500 users.  Currently we just create their user account in Novell, and run nconfig to set up their mailbox... and then forget it.  If I knew that AD integration was definitly on its way, I can hold off on this move for several months, but I'm going to need to start making plans in the near future otherwise.
