Mercury on Netware : Invalid data in message

I'm not familiar with Mercury on Netware or how different it is from Mercury/32 so YMMV.

You should turn on session logging for the SMTP client module to capture a session transcript of a message that causes the error (using a very small attachment is a good idea [:)]) and post it here.

I have a problem with my mercury on netware. When I receive an Email with an attachment where spaces are in the name of the attached file I receive  "554 5.5.2 Invalid data in message" from my mercury host. This only happens if the body is encoded in 7BIT. If the body is in the 8BITMIME there is no problem.

Is there any suggestion how I can solve the problem?

Thanks

This doesn't solve your problem, but the "554 5.5.2 Invalid data in message" error will be coming from the upstream SMTP server that Mercury is trying to deliver to. I assume you mean "When I send an Email with ..." because if you are receiving it, there is no way you should be getting the SMTP reject message.

Ok, your are right. I try to send an Email to my Mecury and I get the "554" message on my SMTP server that is trying to deliver to.
