Holy cow!  Years of using Windows, and I never realized I could change that right in the shortcut!  After you mentioned it, I had to go look for it... and I consider myself an advanced user of Windows!  I'm so embarrassed!  I always glommed the proper command-line switch on the target-line.

Hello.  I'm new here, and I've used Mercury for a few years now, but I've just now found your forum.  Mercury has been wonderful for me... a nice centralized mail collector/manager in a house full of PC-users.  I salute all of you responsible for this gem of a software package.

My questions:  Is there a command line argument to loader.exe or mercury.exe to make it come up iconified to the system tray?  In fact what, if any, are the available command line arguments?  I've searched all over this forum forum and keep getting empty results, which is somewhat surprising for what is probably a common question, so I'm almost embarrassed to ask.

For current versions, it all depends on how you start it.  Manually, I find that specifying the shortcut to start minimised does the trick.  When starting under a wrapper as a service, it usually depends on the software used.

The next version is alleged to have a built-in service launcher, but I don't know any more.

I don't run with any commandline switches.
