Suddenly only the From header visible in Mail folders!

Does the manual from David cover all this? If so, I'll seriously consider paying up.
Nope, editing of any of the config files in fact is discouraged.  You can download the manual and check it out yourself.   http://pmail.com/downloads_s3_t.htm

WinXP system.

Been using PMail for years, now the message list header has gone AWOL and only the From header is showing no matter how wide I make the window.

Any clues as to how the normal From, Subject, Date etc. headers can be restored?

1.     Use Help | About Pegasus Mail | Info to determine the HOME mail directory.  Exit Pegasus mail.

2.     Go to the HOME mail directory, open the state.pmj for editing and delete all in the section  [Reader] in the file.  Save and exit

3.     Run WinPMail.  These message now should be working correctly

Hi Thomas,

Really appreciate the quick response.

Have done as you suggested. Deleted the section under [READER]  and tried. No change. Then deleted [READER]. Still no change.

So the header remains From to the full extent.

Any other suggestions?

Sorry, did not know you were using the "Preview mode"

Exit WinPMail and go to your HOME mail directory.  Open the file state.pmj for editing.  Go to the [General] section and delete the following lines

FClassic=0,22,304,385,"0"
V4FP=0,0,829,544,"0"
V4FP-1=0,50,194,517
V4FP-2=197,50,821,154,"121,222,94,0,34"
V4FP-3=197,157,821,517

save and exit.  You'll get the defaults when you restart WinPMail.

Hi Thomas,

done that and it is all back to normal.

I think there was a second V4FP=0,0, ....."0" line with wacky numbers but infront of the more conventional spec'd line.

So all happy now.

Thanks so much for that.

Does the manual from David cover all this? If so, I'll seriously consider paying up.

Cheers[:D]
