One of my users is having this strange problem. Many of her incoming messages are showing as "unknown" in the new mail folder but she is able to open them and see the headers and body normally. If she restarts Peg the message automatically gets moved to her MAIN folder and still shows as "unknown" but she can still open it. (We use a
shared Pegasus 4.41 without Mercury on Windows 2003 Server.) She has full permissions to her mail folder. She has no strange .cnm files. She does have some zero-byte folder files.
I've checked that her Anitvirus is configured to ignore pop3 and I've turned off "Network Scanning" so that her mailbox should not be getting scanned by her locally installed Antivirus program, just the one on the server. We run Symantec Antivirus Corp Edition version 10.1.6.6000. Reindexing all her folders didn't help and she doesn't have any unusually large saved messages. Oh, almost forgot, these "unknown" messages are coming in from local users, not pop3.
Thanks,
