Well, I want the **arrival** of a new mail to trigger an action, but I don't want opening "New Mail", containing unread messages, to trigger the action.

How do I make a filter that's triggered when new mail arrives but not triggered when the "New Mail" folder is opened?

I'm not sure this is possible, but it might help if we knew a little more of what you were trying to accomplish.
