Thanks a lot for your answer. I'll try that and get back to the forum.

Hi everybody, I'm new to this forum! Great program Pegasus Mail, I like it very much!

My reason being here is related to the installation of Pegasus Mail in portable mode directly to the USB stick. I searched about this topic on the forum, but the exact procedure is not completely clear, especially about the drive letter assingnment.

So I did a fresh install on my eeepc Asus. During the installation I ticked the box about roamning. I pointed the installation towards the USB stick, let's assume H:\PMail, then Pegasus Mail was installed smoothly. Pegasus Mail is shown in the Start/Programs option, I did not install on purpose an icon on the desktop. I configured then everything correctly, I can read, receive and send e-mails. As command line I can read in the Start/Programs/PegasusMail/PegasusMail Properties H:\PMAIL\Programs\winpm-32.exe -A

So first questions: why the command line is not showing -roam, although specificaly selected roaming during the installation? Is it necessary to change this manually by replacing -A with -roam?

Changing the drive's letter on the same machine from H:\ to F:\ in order to simulate portability makes Pegasus Mail not open if called from the Start/Programs menu. Creating a shortcut on the usb stick pointing to the exe file opens PMail and leads to Properties showing in the command line F:\PMAIL\Programs\winpm-32.exe (which I find normal), but again the start-up is dependent on the assigned usb drive's letter and also -roam is not present.

How can I solve this, how should the command line look like for this icon on the usb stick? What exactly shall I put in the Target window (now showing F:\PMAIL\Programs\winpm-32.exe) and in the Start in window (now showing F:\PMAIL\Programs)?

Same question for starting PMail from the usb stick on my home machine where I created the link in Start/Programs/PegasusMail/PegasusMail, as obviously the machine might allocate different letter to this usb stick depending on what else is connected on the usb at that moment?

Thanks a lot!

Same question for starting PMail from the usb stick on my home machine

where I created the link in Start/Programs/PegasusMail/PegasusMail, as

depending on what else is connected on the usb at that moment?

I install PMail on the stick to e:\pmail using e:\pmail\mail and the mailbox directory and then create a shortcut on the stick using the following commandline.

E:\pmail\Programs\winpm-32.exe -MS -ROAM

and no matter what drive letter is used when I install the stick to a system it runs properly.  The only problem would be if PMail was installed to e:\pmail\programs on that systems hard drive.

You can also  create a pmail.cmd file with start Pmail\Programs\winpm-32.exe -roam -MS and/or an autorun.inf containing

[autorun]
OPEN=Pmail\Programs\winpm-32.exe -roam -A -ms
ICON=Pmail\Programs\winpm-32.exe
ACTION=Read E-Mail using Pegasus Mail

 When you plug in the stick you will be given the option top run PMail from the pop-up screen.
