I've sorted it now - I renamed my copyself folder as copyself4 and made a new copyself folder, selected it and it works.

I've been using Pegasus for many years. Recently (can't remember when), I updated it to v 4.51 and have just realised that I no longer have any copies to self stored in my copyself folder from the 5th August (presumably when I updated). I have Copies to Self checked in Messages and replies and the correct folder for the copies in the Copies to self section. Any idea what is going wrong?

I have to take your word for it that you have entered the correct folder for copies to self, but just to make certain: did you type the name of the folder or did you select the folder using the 'Select folder' button? Furthermore, there is a file called pmail.ini that contains the line 'Copy to self  = Y'. You could check whether it does in fact say "Y" after the = sign.

I have just had a quick look and I certainly do not have this problem.  I presume you have checked Optionns -> Outgoing mail to see that Copy to self is set to on rather than off our last setting.   And also looked in the Copies to self ('outbox') section to make sure the settings there make sense.

 Have you set up and filtering, or auto-filtering rules which would affect where the copy to self gets filed?

I didn't need to type in the folder name, as it was retained from the previous installation, but I'd also checked it by selecting the folder usingn Browse.

In PMail.ini, the correct folder "copyself" is selected under Folde for copies to self and Copy to self = Y

In addition to what the others have offered, you should also try using a different "copy self" folder.  There is always the possibility that there is more than one folder with the long name "Copy Self" and copy self always uses the first one found. 

If the hierarch.pm if messed up and you have a copy self folder not showing it would look like there is no copy self.  As a test, send a message with copy self on and with something unique in the subject.  You then search for the string in the entire mailbox to see if you can find it.  If found it will tell you what folder it's using.

Outgoing mail is set to Copy to Set on. Copies to self outbox is the correct one - see above reply . I've not set up any filters and neither has the programme as far as I can see.

I've changed nothing since the previous version, which was updated and not removed, so I'd have expected my previous settings to have been retained, which they seem to have been - just no copies anymore.
