Can I save messages without the headers ?

Many thanks David, MailStrip is just the job, found it on Softpedia.

HTML is not a problem as the messages I'm exporting are all (thankfully) plain text, but noted for future reference.

 Thanks again.

Hi,

I have a message folder with 1700 messages that I would like to export to a readable document to pass on to others. I know I can save the messages to a text file using Ctrl-S, but the resulting text file contains all the message headers etc. I would like to export the messages in a readable format without the headers and preferably with page breaks between messages. Is this possible please, or is there any text filtering software that would allow me to remove the header blocks once I've saved the messages to a text file ?

Thanks

On my previous PC I had a free utility called mailstrip which would take a text file (as eg exported by Pegasus) and selectively strip out whichever parts of the header you didn't want - all if necessary.  It couldn't deal with all the extra inline garbage that comes with HTML messages or attachments, as far as I recall, but it worked well with headers.  Google for it.

best
David

Personally I would print these messages to a file and then combine them into a single file.  The primary reason I would do it this way is to ensure that the HTML messages were readable.  Any other method would require working the actual message file to remove all of the extraneous HTML crud.
