IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL

Thanks,Sven. My RAM tested OK in the Windows memory test, so I suppose the network card is the most likely culprit now.

Hi all,

To date I have received the BSOD with the error message IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL on my system a total of 5 times. On 4 of those occasions it happened at the exact moment I was sending a message with Pegasus Mail. Anybody have comment on this?

I'm running  Pegasus Mail 4.51 on Windows VistaPremium, Laptop Asus Pro50.

Cheers,

Jaakko

You have some sort of hardware problem, probably related to your network interface card, but it could be most anywhere that is accessed by the Winsock when sending.  Might even be anti-virus software access of the hardware if you have it scanning PMail directories.

Thanks, Thomas. In fact it may have started when I switched anti-virus software, but I'm not sure. I'll have to see what to do about it. The laptop is still covered by warranty, but if they keep it for 2 weeks and wipe the hard disk like they did last time it will be a royal pain.

I had those problems a few years ago on my PC and it was related to bad RAM chips and (later on) due to problems with the USB controller. Pegasus Mail is for sure not the problem.
