Maiser cannot find ... a list? (Solved!)

Okay - here is the cause (user as usual!) but not sure why it came across like this -

apologist-list
   File:             C:\Mercury\LISTSERV\apologists.mlf
   Title:            Apologists

Note the "apologist-list" does not have the   "s" at the end of apologist? That was it.

Dang! Thanks so much, so very much for sticking with me.

Licensed Merc server with 4.51 installed (will update after fixing this).

Have about 9 'mailing lists' - listserv.

We 'restored' one we were not using recently thru the Lists interface.

It's listed : Mercury\LISTSERV and the file is 'name.mlf' - shows a file size, etc.

When we do a 'review' thru maiser on any of the other lists we obtain a full list of

the members. When we try it on this one, we are told that it is 'unable to find name list'.

I've checked all the settings I could find on one of the working lists and compared and made

sure they were similar (passwords are different, etc) but still the 'unable to find list' appears.

The 'actual' file is on the C drive as  C:\Mercury\LISTSERV\name.mlf  but I note in the file location

interface that all the working ones show   listserv/name.mlf - so I switched out the drive information

and replaced it with the format as just written, still no joy.

Many thanks for help in fixing what I believe is just a crazy configuration issue that I've made.

Have you re-started Mercury?

Absolutely did restart. Several times... so strange because the whole issue seems like

a 'path' problem. "Cannot find..." and so forth yet I don't see anything wrong with

where it is, where it is listed in the "lists" interface, etc.

A question about the list as it shows in 'word pad' - this is listed, "...the last line of

the file must always end with a CR/LF. "  Well, I don't see a CR/LF on 'any' of our MLF files.

They (the others) all work without the CR/LF addition (whatever it might be).

GREATLY appreciate the help.

Thanks.

Anyone have further suggestions on this issue? The list was once significant to us and

we need it again. But Maiser simple bounces back and cannot 'find' the list. "What" is it

exactly that Maiser does to find a 'list'? Thanks

How about posting the lists.mer section of the file that points to this list.  Verify the paths in the lists.mer

It either does not find the list name in the lists.mer or cannot find the files and paths associated with the data in the lists.mer

I've posted a picture of the server file structure displaying the 'path' folders and so forth here:

Hope that was okay here... Many thanks for any insight. Appreciate the help.

FWIW, all of my lists use the full path to the file using the normal drive paths.

So, is there any 'setup' of maiser that I could be missing. We had this problem 'before' I updated to the latest version
I'd hoped that upgrade might have fixed the issue but alas, not. Any ideas greatly appreciated.
Is there an EXAMPLE setup of the 'lists' relative to the interface and tabs within each list?
Thanks very much.

PS - can anyone advise regarding the 'rights' to folders/file needed for maiser to work? We note now that the 'review' request is "not" working on another list which had worked earlier.

Wondering if this could be a rights issues of some kind???

Thanks.

I use a system account will all rights for Mercury/32 but Mercury/32 must have at least read/write/modify/create/delete access to all directories, files and folders used by Mercury including the TEMP directory.
