Buttons (Icons) in Windows 7 Ultimate

This is specific to Win7 and David's not going to be making any changes to Pegasus Mail until he can see the problem in Win7.   Probably it's going to be no problem at all to fix once David gets his Win7 development system up and running

I have the same issue as reported for both the RC and RTM versions of Windows 7. I am using Pmail 4.51 (06/23/09) and I also find that in preview mode (and I believe always) the Icon buttons do not appear when I open Pegasus! They do appear when I right click at the top of the window and select the "Graphics Only" option. Then I can right click again and select the "Graphics and Text" and the buttons/icons appear as they should (and also work)!

Anyone have any suggestions to solve this aggravating issue? I believe this issue is specific to Windows 7 as it has never occurred under any other Windows version! Although it may have something to do with a graphics driver, since the same driver doesn't cause the issue in Vista, I'm inclined to believe the problem is Windows 7/Pegasus related. Possibly related to format of the icon files in Pegasus and the new icon file format in Windows 7?

I can confirm this on the release version of Win7.

For me, the problem affects MOST folders, but not all. I need to click on "text only" or "graphics only" to make the buttons visible.  Then, clicking on "text and graphics" works.  If the window is closed, the buttons are missing again on re-opening.

So far, from the other (awkwardly long and disjointed thread) it seems that different folks see different symptoms at different times.  Some degree of intermittancy is pretty obvious.

This is going to be a tricky one to debug.  :-(
