Hello, I'm a new user to Pmail. Just did the d/l and installed it today but it will not retrieve mail from my gmail account. The message below is what I keep getting. I'm hoping someone can help me fix this. I have a new pc running Windows 7 and hope this version of windows isn't the problem. I'm really missing Outlook Express and am looking for a similar type of program.

An error has occurred during a POP3 mail download transaction. Description of error: Connection timout (no response from host).

OK, first things first. Are you sure that you've got the right settings for downloading your mail from Gmail? Check the following page:

• http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=13287

Remember, you must use SSL. I assume that you can send properly otherwise you'd have mentioned that too.

Thank you so much. I followed the directions in the link and sure enough, I did make a mistake. Now both receiving and sending mail is a breeze!
