Hello, all
I still can't make Pegasus mail comfortable for me.
The major problem is reading new mail. I keep Pegasus mail hidden in the system tray, and on reception of new mail a pop-up notification appears saying someting like: "New Mail Folder: 3 messages".
Seeing this I go to PMail don't see the new mail: the folder's message counts are not updated and no folders are marked green. To read what has come I have to click on the New Mail folder, which causes an update of its visible contents (message count + green color).
I had had On-open rules that filtered the new messges into several folders according to the address the were sent to, so when I clicked on the New Mail folder this rule fired, the messages were moved and I had to go to back to the individual folders to read them.
I have now made the rules On-close, which has saved me the journy to my specific folders, because I can read everything in the New Mail folder,
but is still far from what I want and which I think is the most convenient behaviour.
The remaining problems are:
1. If the New Mail folder is not open, its message counts are not updated automatically of reception of new mail.
2. On-open rules for the New mail folder are not applied automatically to on reception of new mail, and there seems to be no way of making a rule that would work every time a message is received without the user's intervention.
I want to restore Pegasus (from the tray) and see the new mail filtered and the folders' message counts updated, whereof neither happens with my current setup.
Is it possible to set up PMail to work this way?
Also I have noticed a difference in the behaviour of On-Close rules for the "New mail" folder and the "New or unread mail" of the IMAP mailbox. With the POP account On-Close rules get called when I just click on another folder (I am working in Preview mode, not Classic mode), while the same action for IMAP mailbox doesn't trigger On-Close rules, although they do get triggered when I double-click the IMAP folder and then close the folder's window. Why they work differently, I don't know.
Thaks in advance,
Anton
