Pegasus ignoring Basic Settings in Windows 7

I just installed Pegasus, and I'm finding that some of the Basic Settings are being ignored. I've checked "Automatically open the new mail folder at startup," but every single time I start Pegasus, I get the screen for writing a new message. In addition, I've unchecked "Ask for confirmation before deleting object," but whenever I close the blank message screen, I get an "Are you sure you want to discard Message xxx?" message. Anyone else seen this and figured out a way around it?

What version of Pegasus are you using?

If it is 5.51, try to install 5.52 and lets us know if the problem(s) are solved.
