Well, I would look at using SSH and get rid of FTP - too insecure.  Also, if your local system is running Pegasus, I would think you could create drive mapping to the external storage device once connected and just use the "add mailbox to list" feature and point to the remote folder. Of course, if the folder of messages is huge and you are on a remote connection, that could take a very long time....just one idea.

I run Pegasus Mail in a configuration where the mail is stored on a network attached storage device that is accessible via the internet using FTP.  Does anyone know if it is possible to access mail remotely, using a computer running Pegasus Mail, or in any other way, from a remote location via the FTP connection?  If not, perhaps this post should be moved to "suggestions".  I am thinking of the ability to access old mail stored locally, not to download and send new mail onto the pegasus mail installation from a remote location. I have a vast amount of old mail in store and sometimes want to find things when I am not at home.
