You do not use "Add mailbox to list" to add identities, you do this to point at directories containing mail files (*.cnm files) and folders (*.PMM/PMI file pairs). You you need to use the same path to the directory and name for the mailbox you used when you first added it when you restore the mailbox after closing it.
