Receiving error when deleting a message(s)

Hi Aderoy, your workaround has also been suggested by Gianluca in an IMAP thread. I just checked my IMAP profile, which I haven't used for a while, and saw that mine was already set to delete messages to the local deleted messages folder. It's no biggie for me, though. I don't depend on IMAP or anything.

Cheers!
Steffan

Using PMail 4.52 and IMAP setup for connection with my account on GMail. Everything seems to be working fine with the exception that I get a pop up message telling me that the action could not be completed when I delete a message. I don't recall seeing this on my home system so I feel like I've got a setup issue. Any Ideas?

GMAIL is a very bad IMAP server uses tags instead of folders. The problem seems to be when you delete a message it is tagged belonging to 'Trash' folder and can not be expunged from InBox/'All Mail' because it does not exist (the view changed). Work a round that I have been using for GMAIL is not having the Trash Folder on the server but on the local machine. Check the IMAP properties for your GMAIL account.

This way it is copied from GMAIL 'All Mail' view to your local mailstore\deleted items. When your local Delete Items is emptied all is gone.
