Have retried the upgrade and have also tried renaming the original c:/PMAIL/MAIL file so the upgrade creates a new /MAIL file. I am a new user and don't want to tinker for the fear of doing some damage. If anyone can help I'd be very grateful. Thanks.

Have just installed update and at start I'm prompted to choose a user status so that the relevant folders can be setup. After pressing the relevant button - single user - all dialogue boxes disappear and nothing further happens. Have read post below which outlines same problem on W7 (I'm running Vista), but don't understand the resolution. What am I not doing? Can anyone help?

No, it's not resolved. I didn't want to ask unrelated questions in the same post. Apologies if this has caused some confusion. I thought I'd ask about the large mail whilst waiting for a resolution to the upgrade issue. Two birds one stone etc.
