Transfering email addresses

Thanks for the suggestion, I tried it and moved the three  WINPM**.PM files to the new netbook.  They now show up in the "MAIL" folder on the netbook, but when I start do a new email and look at the "Recently Used" list for an address, none of the addresses I thought I moved over are there.  What did I do wrong?

The files need to go in the same folder as all of your mail and addressbooks. In most Pegasus installations this will not be the Mail folder. You should find that the Mail folder has subfolders - one for each user of that installation of Pegasus. The default setup creates only one, called "Admin". Try moving the FUA file there.

I am in the process of setting up Pegasus on my wife's new netbook running Windows 7.  How do I copy or print out and retype email addresses that she needs on the netbook?  She does not need all the addresses that I have on my desktop. Help file says in "importing and exporting addressbook entries" to go to "export to tagged text file" from the "Addressbook menu".  But I cannot find that entree.  Thanks for the help. Bruce Curry

I do this the easy way.  I would copy copy the *.pmr/pm! files from my home mail directory to her home mail directory.  They can then delete and unnecessary addresses from the book.

Thomas offers a good way to work with your problem, but to answer your question directly, when you have an address book open and that window is the active, selected window, you will notice that your menu bar includes a new option, "Addressbook". This should be between "Tools" and "Window". The options for exporting and importing are on that menu.

Thanks for the ideas I will use them.  I have another question.  What about moving the addresses in the "Recently Used" list?  Also do they have a suffix like the address books have?

Thanks,  Bruce Curry

Frequently Used lists are kept in files in your mailbox. The file for the Frequently Used Addresses is WINPMFUA.PM

You may also find FUF [files], FUK [keywords] and FUP [paths]

One other quick question.  In the list of folders that my emails I for some reason have folders with duplicate names.  When I look at the file name related to each in "MAIL"  it is the same.  How do I get rid of the Dups?

 Thanks, R. Bruce Curry
