How to overcome ISP sendiing mail smtp limit?

[quote user="noorgat.b"]

My ISP has a limit of sending a max of 25 emails at a time.

My distribution list has about 60 emails in it.

I could split the DL into 3 lists to overcome the issue.

Another approach: Set up a Gmail account configured to add a custom 'From' address,

Gmail has a daily SMTP linit of 100 messages.

Hi,

My ISP has a limit of sending a max of 25 emails at a time.

My distribution list has about 60 emails in it.

I could split the DL into 3 lists to overcome the issue.

However????

Is there a workaround for Pmail to send in batches of xx no. of messages?

Alternatively, is there a way to set Postfix (linux) to break up the messages into groups of 25 before forwarding?

I do have access to a web based (phplist) mass mailer, but it's a pain to use for just 60 emails. Often I need to send attachments such as pricelists to my sales reps.

The web based mailer does not support attachments.

Thanks in advance.

Is that a maximum of 25 addresses in one message or 25 message per session.  The first is fairly easy to solve, the second is a killer.

>  My distribution list has about 60 emails in it.

1.    If you were to use Pegasus Mail mail merge that put's out one message per address.

2.    If you were to install Mercury/32 and create a mailing list with the "fanout" option of 3 it would create 3 messages with 20 addresses each to beat the limit.  The Mercury mailing list can send attachments.

Pain in the rear when sending the same message to three lists.

There is nothing in Pegasus Mail to do this.

I know nothing about Postfix.

Hi,

 Thanks for the fast response.

Let me try the mail merge function. I'll keep you posted if it solved the problem.

---------

Update!

Mail Merge is not the solution!

1. Can't add attachments.
2. Can't format text
3. Does not use default email signature.

 Regards

 Basheer
